Art Deco 1927 Silver Plated Smokers Companion Zeppelin Airplane Extremely Rare
Here is a 1920s Smokers Companion Zeppelin Airplane. From what I understand, this is the Cigar edition. The cigarette edition has cigarette compartments in the wings, the Cigar edition does not. What is so rare about the Cigar edition is that they only made a few like it, so they are much harder to find then the cigarette edition.

I have only seen a few like it. The silverplating is in excellent condition. Looks like it was hardly used.

The insides of the planes body is Gold plated, as is the inside of the match holder and wheel gondola. The gold plating is in very good condition with minimal wear. As you can see it is engineered, and made incredibly well. The main body has the compartment for Cigars. The gondola with the wheels slide on and off for disposing of Cigar clippings. The Propeller has a spring mechanism inside that turns the propeller to cut and trim the Cigar ends and works perfect. When you use this feature, the Cigar clippings drop inside the gondola with the wheels for storage until disposed of. Each wing slides on and off. They are held in place by clips that are mounted to the body.

All the pieces are there and working, that is a hard thing to find in itself. The plating hardly has any wear or scratches. This can still be used as intended, as it is near perfect! On the front of the plane behind the propeller, there is another compartment that holds matches.

The top pulls off to reveal the compartment. Behind that, is a round container with a pull on it.

When you pull that out, it opens up to reveal four different sized ash trays. Each on a bit smaller, that way they can be self-contained! What is so rare about this one is that it is stamped on the back fin J.

Henckels Twin Works Solingen Germany with the J. Only a few were stamped like this, most are just stamped Germany.

It is also stamped D. GERMANY on the wheel gondola. The fins are perfectly straight. It's in amazing condition!

This is a true collectors dream! It is 10" long x 9" wide x 4 1/2 tall. This one is in excellent condition, look at the pictures and see for yourself.
